Patching VMWare
Feb 24th, 2014 by Tim Watts

Some minor and low risk patches are currently being applied to VMWare – there may be a slight slowdown as various VMWare server hosts are rebooted.

celm2.cch and inslib.cch restarted

Both had run out of RAM.

Jira and Confluence upgrades
Feb 13th, 2014 by Tim Watts

Both systems could do with an upgrade as they are falling behind – and we have learnt that infrequest upgrades are harder than frequent ones.

I am proposing next Friday 21st at 13:00 – the work will take about an hour at most so both systems will be back at 14:00.

Working more at home temporarily
Feb 13th, 2014 by Tim Watts

In case anyone is looking for me, Sussex and Kent have rather become the disaster zone.

The Hastings line (that I normally use) looks like this (at Stonegate); this is the 4th or 5th landslip this month!

Most involved burying the lines in mud – Stonegate is the first one where the trackbed disappeared.

This is Oxted (on the Uckfield line, backup option 1) – another landslip has closed that:

And the roads between here and Staplehurst (backup option 2) are randomly flooding or collapsing. Attempts to get in via other means took an exceptional amount of extra time.

So I will be contactable via the usual means in the meantime.

ereed restarted Apache

The website was down, the fault being that Apache was stuck. A restart of Apache has corrected the problem.
